This is meant to be an ever-evolving guide for the average person to find and research ways to lessen their footprint on the planet, decrease their reliance on corporate-controlled infrastructure, and support sustainable, environmentally-friendly practices and living.  The links on the right are our current guides to making these aspects of your life as sustainably as possible.  Do not be daunted or discouraged by the volume of information that you can find on these subjects - each of us can slowly incorporate these changes into our lives as we are able.  Every bit of change counts as you and your family work become part of the solution.

Why?

Humanity has always impacted the earth by it's presence upon it.  With the age of industry and our incredible technological achievements over the past century especially, we have increased our impact exponentially.  Now, because of our use of resources and our waste streams, we have begun to make a measurable effect on the balance of our climate and the health of humans, plants, animals and the fragile ecosystem of the earth itself.  This is now being popularized in the form of the global warming debate, but it reaches much further than just this, involving our energy use and production, politics, agriculture practices, and virtually every aspect of our modern lives.
